There are 2 considerations here: sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and the potential impact of alcohol on a sexual encounter.
Our intact skin is a great defense against most STIs. Touching someone’s body with your hands is a pretty low risk activity, because only herpes and possibly syphilis can pass that way. So if you think that you have been exposed to those, or are otherwise sexually active, testing could be a good option for you.
Alcohol can sometimes lower our inhibitions or cloud our memory about what kinds of sex we’ve engaged in while drinking. Alcohol and drugs can also impact on someone’s ability to give consent for sexual activity, which is something to keep in mind when partying.
